Matthew's Surgery

Matthew's surgery went well today. Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers. In total, we were at the outpatient center for a little less than 4 hours and Matthew was only away from us for about 35-40 minutes. The doctor said we definitely made the right decision to go ahead with the tubes and adenoids since there was so much infection. Bless his heart, he's been miserable for the past 3 months. Hopefully this surgery has done the trick.

Now we're at home and Matthew is still mostly sleeping. He's fussy and groggy but is drinking his bottles so that's a good sign. Please continue to keep Matthew in your prayers as he recovers. And, thanks again for all of the prayers. I definitely felt them this morning!

Prayers Please

As many of you know, Matthew has pretty much been sick since November. We've been to the doctor numerous times the past three months and we have yet to get a clear ear at any visit. Because of this, Matthew is scheduled to have tubes put in in his ears and his adenoids taken out tomorrow morning, assuming he does not have a fever or appear congested. Sunday night, he started running a fever again so the doctor put him on another round of antibiotics again yesterday.

Please pray for our sweet baby that surgery will go smoothly and he will finally feel better again. Also pray for Jason and I as we are nervous about our one-year-old being put to sleep and having surgery. We have struggled with the decision to have the surgery but, in the end, we feel it is necessary for Matthew so that he will feel better and be well again.
