Matthew's surgery went well today. Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers. In total, we were at the outpatient center for a little less than 4 hours and Matthew was only away from us for about 35-40 minutes. The doctor said we definitely made the right decision to go ahead with the tubes and adenoids since there was so much infection. Bless his heart, he's been miserable for the past 3 months. Hopefully this surgery has done the trick.
Sweet little foot with an IV
Looking at us thinking "What have you done to me!"
Sleeping off the anesthesia

Now we're at home and Matthew is still mostly sleeping. He's fussy and groggy but is drinking his bottles so that's a good sign. Please continue to keep Matthew in your prayers as he recovers. And, thanks again for all of the prayers. I definitely felt them this morning!

That precious little boy. I'm so sorry he had to go through that this morning. We'll be praying for a quick recovery. He really is such a cutie!!!
How pitiful- babies shouldn't have to go through that (or mommies!). Glad he's doing well. We will continue to pray for his recovery....
Oh goodness. I just read your blog for the first time in a couple weeks. Poor Matthew. Jack had to have tubes too and it was the best decision. After the tubes we went a whole year not having to be on antibiotics - it was wonderful. I am glad that this is behind you now and I hope he is having a quick recovery!
